Funkada holds another colorful musical nite

Funkada USA held its fourth colorful musical program on March 21, 2014. The event, held at the Chandni Restaurant, Newark, CA, was attended by about 200 people from near and far. The musical nite attracted crowd from Sacramento, Fairfield, Tracy, Pinole, Pleasanton and Dublin.
The theme of the musical event was “kal Ki yaadein” which included popular songs from the Indian and Pakistani movies of 1960s and 1970s.
Bay Area singers, Abdulrazzak Adenwala, Jawaid Ijaz, Mobeen Khalil, Dr. Naureen Khan, Ranjeet Singh, Shireen Attarwala, Mr. Zafar Siddiqui & Mrs Ghazala Siddiqui thrilled the audience with their performances.
The program began at 8.45 PM and continued till 12.45 AM.
Engineer Mohammed Ziaullah volunteered on the sound system.
Abdulrazzak Adenwala thanked all the sponsors of the event which included the Chandni Restaurant, K. K. Builders, Khalid Saeed from Nationwide Insurance,,Nemat International, Shahid Khan of ABW Auto Service Milpitas, Tricity Travel and the Urdu News.
Shahid khan of ABW Auto Service Milpitas, offered two $ 200.00 free service certificates for Funkada lucky draw. One certificate was won by Waqar Khan and the other by Mahmood Hassan.
Khalid Saeed from Welcome Insurance offered $100.00 cash prize for the lucky draw. Master Shayaan Hassan picked up the winner of the prize which went to Dr. Shahid Siddiqui from Tracy.
The Indian film music of 1950s to 1970s has such magical power that even today the songs of that era are hummed and appreciated. The programs devoted to those days still attract people of all age groups.
The Funkada USA occasionally holds nostalgic evenings of "Bhule Bisre Songs" (Forgotten Songs). This was its fourth successful program.
The first event, held in November 2012, was dedicated to the songs of Majroh Sultanpuri. The second event held in April 2013, focused on the songs of musician Shanker Jaikishan. The third event held in September 2013 titled "Bhule Bisre Songs" (Forgotten Songs).
Abdulrazzak Adenwala is the spirit behind the Funkada USA. He has gathered a team of talented singers and dedicated volunteers to stage the entertainment events.
